As a Magbooth event worker I would say the majority of my gigs this time of the year are Wedding related, but this isn’t always the case. Last weekend I was lucky enough to work with the Make-A-Wish crew in order to bring an amazing Sweet Sixteen Birthday Party to Melanie! It was a humbling experience, and I’m honored I was able to take part in it.
Every once in a while we get to team up with some great non-profit organizations, and I can’t tell you how rewarding it feels to be able to do so. Don’t get me wrong, we all know I love a good Wedding celebration, but there is something about providing a free photo booth to people who could really use the moment to unwind and enjoy themselves. Squeezing into a photo booth with a group of friends should be considered a basic human need.
The Make-A-Wish Team had provided scrap book materials so that Melanie’s friends could post duplicate copies and write her messages of encouragement. Towards the end of the event I had a moment to take a look at the now completed scrap book. While flipping through the pages and seeing the smiles on these kids faces, I realized at that exact moment – I have one the best jobs on the planet.
Thanks again to the Make-A-Wish Greater Bay Area for letting us play a part in the special night. I look forward to teaming up again in the near future! Lastly, thanks to Melanie for asking for a photo booth for your party – It was an honor.
